Drink 10 Glasses of Water Per Day on the Body For Life Diet
1. Start drinking early! Water, that is. Make sure to pour yourself a glass with breakfast. While on the Body for Life diet, it's a great idea to substitute most beverages with water! While sodas aren't forbidden, they should not be consumed much when trying to lose weight. If you are having milk with cereal or even one of the Body for Life nutrition drinks, chase it with some water.
2. Put a stash of bottled waters in the back seat of your car. Grocers and health food stores now sell packs of tiny bottles of water. They have bottles that equal a full glass of water. Keep those for on the go. It won't be hard to down a couple in traffic when it's hot out, or while you wait for your kids at school! Whatever you do on the go, there's likely room for some drinking!
3. Make tea! Brew some green tea before heading out for your day. It counts as water, and it is great for energy and antioxidants. Filling a thermos or coffee holder with green tea is a delicious way to consume water, and it's a change of taste.
4. Vitamin supplement packets are great to mix with a glass of water for a delicious taste of choice, as well as extra vitamins and minerals. Mix them with water, and drink up.
5. Put water in a wine glass at dinner. It really does effect how you think of drinking the water. It sounds silly, but it does add motivation to feel like you are indulging in the most subtle ways. Drink the entire glass, and go back for seconds. When dining at a restaurant, you can ask that your bottled water be served in a wine glass. Many do it that way, and it will set you up for success in drinking water.
6. Drink some hot water with lemon or little spritz from an orange or lime at night. This is a great substitute for dessert or in place of a late-night snack. The hot water can be soothing and prepare you for sleep!
