Many people would love to get a movie star tan, but few have the time to go out to the beach and spend hours lying in the sun. With a tanning bed, that problem has been solved. Everyone can now get the bronze skin they have always wanted in a couple of visits. However, there are some precautions that one must take. This article explains safely use a tanning bed.
Instructions
1. Choose a tanning salon. If you have a busy schedule, you may want to choose a salon that is close to your home or workplace. Talk with the cashier about what programs the salon offers and ask which would be best for your purposes. If you have not already brought your own, purchase tanning lotion at the salon. Be sure to read the labels and choose the appropriate one for your skin and for the look you want to achieve.
2. Go into your room and undress. Take off as many clothing articles as you are comfortable with. Some choose to leave on a swimsuit or bikini, while others prefer to be completely nude.
3. Generously apply the tanning lotion to all areas of your body with the exception of your face. Open the lid to the tanning bed and adjust evreything to your liking. Make sure your pillow is where you want it and set your fan to the desired speed.
4. Wear safety googles while using a tanning bed. The ultra violet rays can cause severe damage to your eyes. Be sure to wear your googles and keep your eyes closed for the entire tannning period. Keep your eyes closed until the tanning bed turns off.
5. Press the button to begin the tanning. Get into the bed and close the lid. Keep your goggles on until the tanning session is complete.
6. The tanning session is over when the bed lights turn off. At this time, you may open your eyes. Open the lid and get out of the tanning bed. Remove your safety goggles and gently wipe yourself down with a towel. Put your clothes back on and be sure to check for any personal belongings before leaving the room.
7. Press the button the start the machine.
8. When the machine turns off, that means the tanning is complete. You may now take off the goggles and get your clothes back on.
