Use Noni Fruit To Improve Health

Noni (Morinda citrifolia) is a fruit that grows in tropical areas of the Pacific Ocean and Southeast Asia. Although the taste can be unpleasant to some people, the health benefits of this fruit are many. It is said to be a virtual cure-all for respiratory conditions such as tuberculosis, influenza, asthma, coughs, colds, sinusitis and sore throat. It is also effective for digestive disorders such as diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, gastric ulcers and intestinal parasites. Available as a bottled beverage, noni is favored by those seeking help for many different ailments. If you can find fresh noni fruit, you can make herb vinegar, herbal oil, pureed fruit that is similar to applesauce and other concoctions that taste better than the bottled beverage.

Instructions

make a tasty noni drink

1. If you're using fresh noni fruit, select very ripe, almost white, fruit.

2. Press the pulp through a sieve or food mill--you will wind up with a "slurry" similar to applesauce.

3. If you're using bottled noni juice, use the recommended amount for each serving. If you're using fresh fruit "slurry," use about 1/4 cup for each serving.

4. Add 1/2 cup pineapple or other juice, 1/2 cup flavored yogurt and 1 cup milk or soy milk to your blender jar, along with the recommended amount of noni.

5. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar or honey, if desired.

6. Add your ice cubes and then blend on the highest setting for 1 minute.

7. Serve immediately and enjoy.
