These prolactinomas are slow growing tumors that ninety percent of the time are begnin.Prolactinomas can cause infertility and imbalances with dopamine levels, so reducing the tumor is critical.

Take Cabergoline


1. Consult with your doctor about taking Cabergoline. Ask about potential side effects and what to do if you experience them. Inquire about generic versions, how long you will have to take this drug and what happens if you miss a dose.


2. You will take the prescription as directed by your doctor, but most prescriptions call for taking this drug twice a week.


3. Most patients take Cabergoline for up to six months. You will get frequent blood tests to check the hormone levels of your blood.


4. Keep your medication in a room temperature storage cabinet away from humidity and heat. Your bathroom medicine cabinet is not an ideal place to keep this medicine.


5. If you miss a dose, take your medicine at the next schedule time. Do not double up on this medication.


6. Call your doctor if you have any side effects like hives, problems breathing; swelling anywhere in your face. You should also call your doctor if you feel light-headed or you faint.
