Amid significant controversy, foot detox patches or pads--also known as Japanese sap sheets--have entered the holistic marketplace receiving both praise and criticism from either side of the medical spectrum.
Types
The foot detox patch is made from natural tree extracts and comes in a variety of editions. Some of these including the gold edition for heavy metal cleansing and the super grapefruit edition for weight loss.
Features
The foot detox patch works off the concept of reflexology and is purported to stimulate reflex points on the feet, which in turn are said to restore balance to the entire body.
Benefits
Japanese sap pads are reputed to relieve headaches and migraines, fatigue, painful joints, skin eruptions and rashes in addition to other health problems.
Theories/Speculation
The detox patch is said to work in the same manner as plant osmosis, cleansing waste and toxins from the bottoms of the feet via perspiration that is drawn out by the heating action of the pad combined with the drawing properties of the tree sap.
