Make Seasoned Salt

Cooking your own food can be a fun and rewarding experience. The only problem is, no matter which recipe you use, you are almost always instructed to add salt or some type of seasoning(s) for flavor. But don't worry! There is no need to pay several dollars for a small shaker of seasoned salt at the grocery store when you can make your own for a lot less. And, best of all, you probably already have the items in your kitchen right now! Read more to learn how you can make seasoned salt at home using a quick and easy recipe.

Instructions

Mix Your Own Seasoned Salt

1. Mix 3 tablespoons of salt with 2 tablespoons of garlic powder in a mixing bowl. This is your base and provides the bulk of the flavor.

2. Add 1 tablespoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon onion powder, and 2 tablespoons of paprika to the mixing bowl. The paprika will provide the salt with a reddish hue. This is the color most people associate with seasoned salt.

3. Sprinkle in a dash or two of cayenne pepper. Don't go overboard, as the cayenne pepper could overpower the other flavors.

4. Stir ingredients together until a uniform color is formed.

5. Place the salt in a shaker or small tupper ware container for storage.
