Make A Flax Seed & Lavender Pillow

simple,natural & fun to make!

Today's lifestyle is full of overloaded schedules and stressful situations, we need to relax and this aromatic pillow is a nice way to do just that! It requires basic sewing skills and a little time, it's relatively inexpensive to make, yet gives unlimited hours of relaxation. Why not pamper yourself or make them as gifts for birthdays or Christmas, everyone will love them! You can make a neck pillow or eye pillow, the power of this pillow is that the flaxseed will block the light and is lightweight and the lavender will help take away headaches and stress, it is actually an ant-depressant. You'll feel your mood lifting as you relax with the pillow on your face, temples, behind your neck or over your eyes , it's blocks the light and is lightweight, it's perfect!

Instructions

1. make sure you have the flaxseed and ground up lavender for the pillow ready. The flaxseed is ready, but the lavender should be ground up either in a spice grinder or food processor and then put in several re-usable tea bags w/seals, again you'll need several to place in pillow.

2. double the fabric that you chose and lay it on a table. Make your own homemade patter from a brown paper bag, trace the pillow design onto the bag and cut it out, place the pattern on your material and secure with straight pins, cut out the shape of the pillow.

3. put the outside of the pillow cut out facing each other, so you are actually sewing it inside out. Sew 3 and 1/2 sides together and the turn it right side out. Fill with flaxseed, do not overfill. Fill with the same amount of lavender by placing the tea bags between the flaxseed. Using a thread and needle hand sew the remaining part of the pillow together. You now have your own flaxseed and lavender pillow!
