The Effects Of Absorbing Hydrogen Peroxide Through The Skin

As of 2011, it remains unclear how hydrogen peroxide is used by the body, but R. Webster Kehr of the Independent Cancer Research Foundation, Inc., believes absorption of hydrogen peroxide into the body can be beneficial. H202, or hydrogen peroxide, is water with an extra oxygen atom attached. Various forms of hydrogen peroxide therapy exist, including using that extra oxygen molecule in the H202 to target toxins in the body as well as viruses and bacteria.

Controversy

The controversy in using this hydrogen peroxide therapy lies in the fact that H202 frees its extra oxygen atom, which makes an oxidizing reaction occur. When this happens, harmful chemicals and bacteria can be neutralized, which can be beneficial, but it can also be detrimental, according to The Natural Path website.

Methods

One way that H202 is absorbed through your body is by using a vaporizer containing a mix of diluted 3.5 percent hydrogen peroxide with one gallon of water. Another technique entails putting diluted hydrogen peroxide into your tub water and soaking it in for half an hour. The hot water dilates blood vessels and pores, which makes absorption even faster.

Cancer

Hydrogen peroxide can be used to treat cancer patients, according to the Cancer Tutor website. The metastasis, which is the spread of cancer, is dependent on the amount of oxygen that exists around the cancer cells. The more oxygenated the area is, the slower the cancer spreads. The less oxygen, the quicker the cancer spreads. Cancer cells are anaerobic, which means if they get enough oxygen, they will die. The theory suggests hydrogen peroxide appears to kill the bad cells, because cancer cells do not have the ability to break down hydrogen peroxide, which healthy cells are capable of doing.

The Process

The goal of this method is to figure out get enough hydrogen peroxide inside the cancerous cells. Each cancerous cell has a thick enzyme coating on its surface that prevents many substances, and maybe even hydrogen peroxide, from getting to the surface of the cell and into the cell.

To improve the efficacy of hydrogen peroxide for this purpose, the protein cover on the proteolytic enzymes, which are also referred to as pancreatic enzymes, are cut apart to help the hydrogen peroxide get into the cancer cells.

Warning

H202 is highly caustic and can burn you. It must be diluted. H202 under 5 percent does not require labeling, but solutions containing more than that amount are considered dangerous. You can do damage to your eyes, skin and respiratory system, points out the Green Facts website.
