Use Grapefruit Oil

Grapefruit oil has an uplifting scent.

Grapefruit oil is extracted from the skin of the fruit. This oil has a strong fragrance and is used to make a variety of skin care products as well as cleaners and air fresheners. The oil relieves tired muscles when added to massage oils and helps skin prone to acne. Grapefruit oil makes skin more sensitive to the sun so it shouldn't be used before prolonged sun exposure.

1. Mix 16 oz. sea salt, 20 drops of sweet orange oil and 10 drops of grapefruit oil together in a glass jar. Add 1/2 cup of the mixture to a hot bath for a rejuvenating soak. Seal the jar and store the remaining mixture in a cool, dark location.

2. Add 5 tsp. vodka, 1/2 tsp. distilled water, 15 drops lemon oil, 10 drops grapefruit oil, 10 drops lemongrass oil, 2 drops benzoin oil, 3 drops cedar wood oil and 5 drops each of neroli and cypress oils to a glass container. Shake and seal well. Store the mixture in a cool, dark location for three weeks, shaking the container every two or three days. Use as a men's cologne.

3. Add 1 cup distilled water, 2 tbsp. white vinegar and 5 drops grapefruit oil to a glass jar and shake well. Use the mixture as a toner after washing your face to remove excess oils from the skin. Apply with a cotton ball.
