Aloe Vera Oil

Aloe Vera is a succulent plant with waxy leaves which look like thick stalks. These leaves contain gel, commonly used for various beneficial effects on the skin and also as a diet supplement. Aloe Vera oil does not occur naturally, but it is made from Aloe Vera plant substances mixed with an oil.

Function

Aloe Vera gel is typically used for treating sunburn. People also use it for wound healing, scar prevention, burn healing, and reducing skin inflammation and itching.

Identification

Aloe Vera oil is made by infusing it with an oil like soybean, safflower or almond.

Massage

This oil is beneficial for using in massage, because it can be included as a carrier oil with other massage oil or in aromatherapy massage. A carrier oil helps essential oils penetrate the skin.

Baths

Aloe Vera oil can be mixed with essential oils or fragrance oils to make a relaxing and skin-softening bath oil.

Soap

Aloe Vera oil also can be included in ingredients for hand-made soaps by replacing some of the water with this oil.
