Eyelid scrubs are frequently recommended by opthamologists to provide relief to those suffering from dry, itchy or scaly eyelids. Although most eyelid scrubs provide immediate comfort, they can become an expensive daily remedy. Inexpensive and equally effective scrubs can be easily made at home.
Instructions
1. Tear off one sheet of a paper towel. Cut the sheet into nine 3 inch-by-3 inch squares.
2. Stack paper squares and place them in bowl containing 1 inch of clean, warm water. Allow the squares to soak for 30 seconds.
3. Remove wet paper squares and align them side by side on a towel covered table top. Use towel to gently blot and remove excess water from each square.
4. Carefully add (use eyedropper if available) 6 to 8 drops of baby shampoo to each square. Distribute uniformly across the face of the square using index finger.
5. Turn the squares over and repeat step 4, above.
6. Stack squares on top of each other and place in a sealable plastic bag until required for use.
