Treat A Finger Nail That Is Cut







Cover your nails with a strengthening polish to give them more durability.


Everyday we use our hands for a hundred small tasks and without noticing it, our fingernails can become ragged. In the course of your daily tasks, you may even cut your fingernail, causing it to split. Depending on the severity of the cut, it might be painful or painless, but it should to be attended quickly to prevent infection and further damage.


Instructions








1. Clip off the cut segment of the fingernail using a pair of nail clippers. If it is not possible to clip away all of the cut, clip off as much as you can.


2. Rinse the cut nail with clean water.


3. Apply a dab of antibacterial ointment to the cut fingernail to prevent infection. Continue applying the ointment every day until the cut has grown out and can be trimmed away. Cover the cut with an adhesive bandage if you are going to be working with your hands. Otherwise, allow the cut to heal naturally.
