What Natural Herbs Can Be Taken For Chelation

Chelation is the act of removing toxic substances, mainly metals, from the body. It is used in many alternative therapies and is very popular in autism treatments. There are herbs that can be used for 'at home' chelation for a much lower cost than traditional chelation.

Cilantro, a natural chelation herb

Cilantro

Cilantro increases the amount of toxic metals flushed from the body. This popular cooking herb is the most powerful of all chelation herbs and can be eaten raw or juiced for good results.

Garlic

Garlic has long been considered a super food, gaining attention in the media for its ability to help clear the body of viruses, bacteria and excess fat, and for its action as an anti-oxidant. The whole plant---stalk, flowers and bulb---is full of compounds that assist in chelation.

Yellow Dock

The root of Yellow Dock is often used in combination with coriander leaves for herbal chelation. The ground dried root is used in tea form.

Green Tea

Tea is a powerful anti-oxidant that helps flush the body of toxins. Green tea has long been used in Chinese medicine as a blood cleanser and general good health tonic.

Fun Fact

Apple cider vinegar is also a chelation agent. All of the above herbs can be placed into a bottle of the vinegar, allowed to sit for three weeks, then drunk in half cup amounts each morning.
