Foot Soak Ingredients

Soaking can relieve sore feet and help you to relax at the end of the day.


Standing on your feet or walking all day can leave them feeling tired and sore. When your job depends on the condition of your feet, a foot soak can help keep them refreshed and revitalized. Foot soaks also help those with dry or rough feet. Use different ingredients in the foot soak to gain the results that you want. Your feet work hard every day for you and a refreshing foot soak can help to ease some of the stress.


Essential Oils


Essential oils added to warm or cool water can offer relaxation for your feet or make you feel energized and revitalized. For a relaxing foot soak, include lavender, marjoram, peppermint, sandalwood, bergamot or patchouli. Use a few drops of any combination of these oils in your foot soak for a relaxing soak for your feet.


A refreshing foot soak includes oils such as orange, eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender and lemon. Lavender has a clean fresh scent that can be used for a refreshing or relaxing soak. Add a few drops of essential oil to your warm or cool water in any combination. Choose one oil or a few for a sweet smelling soak.


Milk Bath


You can add milk to warm water to help soften rough feet. Milk has lactic acid and protein to dissolve dead skin and beautify the feet. Mix 2 cups of milk to 7 cups of water and heat the mixture on the stove to as hot as you can stand it. Remove from heat and soak.


Epsom Salt








You can use Epsom salt in your foot soak to ease sore muscles and stress. The magnesium in the Epsom salt helps to relieve pain and soreness. Add essential oil such as lavender for a refreshing scent. Epsom salt also works well for a whole body soak for aching and sore muscles. Put five tablespoons of the ingredient in warm water for a 20 minute soak.
