Does The South Beach Diet Have A Sample Menu Available

You can find plenty of different menus and recipes in the book "The South Beach Diet." Quite a few websites also show sample menus for this plan. And you can use the South Beach Diet foods list to create your own menus.


Breakfast


Try the Greet the Sun Breakfast Pizza. This is a delicious combination of whole-grain pitas, spinach, eggs, plum tomatoes and reduced-fat feta cheese. It's a healthy way to start your day. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook and feeds four.








If you want a faster breakfast try half a grapefruit, two scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa and a slice of whole grain toast.


Making foods using the South Beach Diet plan doesn't have to take a long time. You can include many of your favorite foods, or at least healthier versions of them.


Snacks








Don't forget to include two snacks in your South Beach Diet meal plan. Snacks can be something simple like a hard-boiled egg, 4 ounces of yogurt or a serving of nuts.


Lunch


If you're in the mood for a sandwich, try a roast beef wrap. You'll need some reduced-fat cream cheese, flour tortillas, red onion, spinach leaves and sliced roast beef. It takes only a few minutes since there is no cooking, just slicing the onion and assembling.


Dinner


Eat a bigger meal at dinner to help leave you satisfied. A South Beach Diet dinner could include grilled salmon, edamame salad, baked tomatoes with basil and Parmesan cheese, and a mixed field greens salad. You can substitute steak for the salmon or chickpeas for the edamame if you can't find the green soybeans.


Dessert


You can eat dessert on the South Beach Diet. Just make sure it's made of the right foods. One option is Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies, which take about 30 minutes to prepare.


You could also enjoy a Lemon Peel Ricotta Crème for a South Beach diet friendly dessert. Make this ahead of time, since it's served chilled.
