Relieve Gas With Yoga Poses

Yoga is a discipline that requires you to focus your mind and energies while relaxing and stretching your body. There are many different pains and aches that can be alleviated through the correct yoga pose, including irritable bowels and gas. If you experience stomach pains or cramps and other discomforts associated with gas, there is a simple series of poses that you can practice to help your body correct and relieve itself of the problem.

Instructions

1. Spread an exercise mat on the floor and lie on top of it, with your feet slightly apart. Your back should be on the mat, with your arms straight against your sides.

2. Lift your right leg so it is bent at the knee, with your lower leg parallel to the floor. Your upper leg should be perpendicular with the floor.

3. Place both hands over your bent right knee so your fingers are cradling it. Make sure your hands are supporting your knee.

4. Lift your head off the mat and toward your knee, as you gently pull your knee toward your head. Keep your back flat against the mat, lifting only your head.

5. Lower your head and slowly release your knee until your leg is flat against the mat.

6. Repeat the same steps for the left side and then again for each side. Do as many repetitions as you want to or until your gas is relieved.
