Citrine is a type of quartz. The most common colors of this gem are shades of yellow and orange, and it is one popular, inexpensive stone used for rings and other jewelry. According to Gemaffair.com, citrine is said to repel negativity from the wearer, facilitate a better mood and help with any circulatory or digestive problems. Cleaning your citrine ring is easy---it won't require special cleaners. You can use a mild cleaner that is also safe for the ring's band.
Instructions
1. Hold the ring in your hand and pour a drop of a mild, clean rinsing hand soap or dish soap on the citrine. Wet a soft-bristled toothbrush under warm water and gently brush the citrine.
2. Use a cloth, dampened in warm water, to clean the metal band. A mild soap (which will drip off the citrine onto the band) won't hurt gold, silver or other common band materials.
3. Rinse the ring under warm water, shaking it a bit to make sure all the soap gets out of setting crevices. Dry the ring well with a soft cloth. If the band looks a little dull, use the same cloth to buff the band until it is shinier.
