Find A Cranio Sacral Therapist

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a type of alternative therapy used by therapists certified as a registered craniosacral therapy practitioner (RCST). During a CST session, the therapist places his hands on the patient in order to tune the patient's craniosacral rhythm. The brain and spinal cord are surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid and the craniosacral rhythm is the movement of this fluid. By tuning the craniosacral rhythm, the practitioner is subtly manipulating the flow of this fluid. If you are trying to find a RCST, you can use the online practitioner referral tool offered by the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America.

Instructions

1. Open a web browser on your computer and go to the online Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America practitioner referral tool.

2. Select the state you are located in from the "Select a State" drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can select a Canadian Province or International location from the "Canada" or "International" drop-down menus.

3. Scroll down to find contact information for a craniosacral therapist in your area.

4. Select a craniosacral therapist from the list and call or email the therapist. Ask the therapist when they were certified to practice craniosacral therapy. The field of craniosacral therapy is extremely specialized. Any therapist listed on the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America's website has received certification to practice in this field. However, you should consider the amount of experience the therapist has. You can ask the therapist if it is possible to talk to any of his current or former patients. However, most therapists will not release this information due to privacy concerns.
