Hire A Breast Cancer Coach

More women survive breast cancer today than ever before, due in part to advances in early detection and treatment. However, many women report sustained healing of body, mind and spirit when they hire a breast cancer coach. A breast cancer coach can provide many integrative techniques to promote total well-being. Find your path to recovery by learning hire a breast cancer coach.

1. Expect that a good breast cancer coach will do more than just provide complimentary and integrative therapies. Your breast cancer coach is often a breast cancer survivor and is there to listen, encourage and provide support for all of the areas in your life, not just your illness.








2. Get a referral from your doctor for a reputable breast cancer coach. Your physician may know of one or more that provide coaching services in your area.


3. Check with your breast cancer support group, if you belong to one. Some of your fellow support group members may be able to refer you to a breast cancer coach in your area that they have worked with themselves.


4. Interview a potential breast cancer coach carefully before you hire them. You should ask about their background, training and any certifications they may hold. You should also ask for references.


5. Follow up on the process to hire a breast cancer coach by contacting the references provided during the initial interview. Ask these references about their overall experience with the breast cancer coach and how they specifically benefited from their services.


6. Make sure that you understand the terms of your service agreement when you hire a breast cancer coach. Most state in writing what services they will provide and when, in addition to the cost of coaching services and payment options.


7. Contact the The Breast Cancer Support Center to hire a breast cancer coach (see Resources below). This non-profit organization provides integrative coaching services to breast cancer patients by phone, telephone conferencing, on-site group sessions and weekend retreats for couples. They also offer a free coaching session to get you started.
