Combat Irritation With Aquaphor Healing Ointment

Aquaphor is made by Eucerin and is designed to help irritated skin. Often recommended by dermatologists and pediatricians, Aquaphor works on minor cuts, eczema, dry skin and diaper rash. It is fragrance-free and preservative-free so that it will not irritate sensitive skin. Its only active ingredient is petrolatum, but it does have the inactive ingredients mineral oil, ceresin, panthenol, glycerin, bisabolol and lanolin alcohol.

Instructions

1. Clean the affected area. Make sure to use a gentle cleanser and warm water to clean the area.

2. Apply to the entire affected area. Use on severely dry, cracked or chafed skin, minor scrapes, burns and diaper rash.

3. Reapply Aquaphor as needed. Reapply the healing ointment every two hours to keep skin protected consistently. If the ointment is still on after two hours, just wait until it has worn off before reapplying.

4. Keep the healing ointment out of your eyes.

5. Do not use Aquaphor on third-degree burns or deep wounds.

6. See a doctor if the area does not heal within seven days.
