Know The Healthy Benefits Of Garlic Oil And Fresh Garlic

Garlic is a natural antifungal and antiviral and a host of many other good things. Although fresh garlic is really the best form of garlic, garlic powder and garlic oil pills may also be beneficial. Keeping in mind, garlic oil pills are mostly vegetable oil.

Instructions

1. To fight off colds. Many doctors now see the light and agree that conventional medicine is not always the best medicine. To fight the common cold, garlic teas may be helpful especially against upper respiratory, sinus and throat infections. Chop garlic cloves and boil in water, strain the garlic out and drink the tea.

2. To fight yeast infections. Consuming large quantities of garlic in your diet will help keep yeast at bay. To treat a thrush infection (yeast infection of the mouth), chew raw garlic cloves in addition to your regular treatment. For vaginal yeast infection, consuming fresh garlic is the best treatment over any other form of garlic. (see resources below for link on treating yeast infections naturally)

3. Promotes a healthy heart. Garlic lowers blood pressure, cholesterol, and plaque buildup possibly preventing heart attacks and strokes.

4. Detoxes the body. Garlic helps to remove mercury and other heavy metals from the body. It is important to detoxify the body from mercury as it causes brain degeneration. Some studies show high levels of mercury may cause autism and Alzheimer's disease.

5. Natural Antibacterial. Garlic was once used as an antibiotic before pharmaceutical companies started manufacturing stronger antibiotics. Garlic oil has been shown to help ear infections, Helicobacter pylori (the bacteria that cause stomach ulcers and possibly stomach cancer) and reportedly even staph infections.

6. Cancer Prevention. Some studies prove that consuming garlic reduces the risk of certain types of cancer including: breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, stomach cancer and esophageal cancer.
