Required Courses For A Nursing Degree

While different colleges and universities will have their own requirements, there are courses that everyone going for a nursing degree has to take, no matter what school he or she attends. These courses are required for a bachelor's of science degree in nursing.


Chemistry

Anatomy


Anatomy is one of the biological sciences. It focuses on the structure of the body and how the parts work together.








Psychology


Psychology is the study of the functions and behavior of the brain.


Microbiology


Microbiology is the study of organisms that are too small to be seen - including bacteria and parasites that can cause disease - without the aid of an instrument such as a microscope.


Pathophysiology


Pathophysiology is the study of the way normal functions are changed by a disease or any other medical condition.


Pharmacology


Pharmacology is the study of how a body interacts with the different chemicals in prescription drugs.
