Make A Phiten Bracelet

Phiten bracelets are worn by some athletes to enhance their endurance.

Phiten is a brand of necklaces and bracelets made from titanium paracord, purported to enhance athletic ability. Proponents suggest that wearing a necklace or bracelet made from this cord can sooth pain and improve athletic performance. A Phiten brand bracelet contains a titanium core surrounded by a flexible nylon coating. The titanium in the bracelet is said to produce a magnetic effect that influences the functioning of the nervous system by relieving muscle fatigue, giving you more endurance. You can create your own version of a Phiten bracelet using paracord with a titanium core.

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of titanium core paracord twice the size of your wrist with a pair of scissors.

2. Fold the cord into thirds, and designate each length of the cord as sections one, two, and three for ease of reference. For example, section one of your cord will have one end of the cord, section two will be the center fold of the cord, and section three will contain the other end of the cord.

3. Weave section one around section three and place it in the loop that forms between section three and section two.

4. Weave the end from section three through the loop that forms between section one and section two.

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you achieve the length of the bracelet you want.

6. Tie the ends of the bracelet together into a knot, or stitch together the fabric of the cord using a needle and thread.
