The Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship is available to a deserving female student by the Jeannette Rankin Foundation. Qualified applicants must be 35 or older, have minor children and be able to demonstrate proof of financial hardship. Applicants must also write an essay on the difficulties of being an older student returning to school and must outline their educational and career goals. The award amount is $500 to $4,000 per academic year.

Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Scholarship
The Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Scholarship is available to an outstanding mother attending college in the United States by the Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation. Qualified applicants must be 17 or older, enrolled full time in a college program, financially needy and have dependent minor children. Students must also write an essay detailing their future goals.
