Looking for replacement cover glass for older square recessed light box

looking for replacement cover glass for older square recessed light box

I dropped one of the square glass covers for our recessed lights in our basement (drop ceiling). I haven't been able to find a replacement nor a name of a manufacturer. The thick glass (1/4 inch) is set within the metal frame which rests flush with the drop ceiling tiles. DOes anyone have any ideas for me? Right now I've got a 75 watt bulb just waiting to get bumped by an errant nerf ball. If the fixture is old enough chances are you won't get an exact replacement.Try a glass company, they may be able to cut you peice from scrap.Bring a sample so they can get size right style close.Good luck Thanks for the idea. Is this the kind of light that's about 9 square with a flat glass? Or maybe 11 square? Halo still makes them. See if you can find yours here: http://www.cooperlighting.com/search...ssed+Downlight Home Depot stocks the 9 one (H1T?), they can probably order one of the others. It's usually cheaper to buy the whole fixture and throw away the glass than it is to order the glass.
